Following the successful certificate-giving ceremonies in Drenas and Ferizaj, the European Union Project – Support to Basic and Upper Secondary Education, KosEd this week has certified more than fifty teachers for their active participation in the peer-led evaluation capacity-building program.
These certifications were awarded in Suhareka, Vushtrri, and Peja municipalities.
The certification ceremonies were attended by esteemed mayors and Municipality Directors of Education.
Notably, a representative from the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI) was present at the Vushtri ceremony, reaffirming MESTI's staunch support for our project.
Presently, approximately one hundred schools are actively engaged in the peer-led evaluation process and 974 educators have earned certificates, significantly contributing to their professional development and teacher license.
Moreover, fifty-one schools have successfully completed internal evaluations, validated through peer-led evaluation capacity-building visits. This number continues to rise steadily, underscoring the expanding reach and impact of the program.
The peer-led evaluation framework embodies principles of transparency and collegiality, fostering a non-judgmental environment conducive to professional growth.
By establishing an open-door policy to classroom observation, educators are empowered to exchange best practices, while municipalities can identify systemic issues warranting intervention.
